・糖尿病黄斑浮腫に対するRuboxistaurin（RBX)内服の有用性を検討した。
・686名の患者がRBX(4,16,or 32mg/d)か、placeboを30日間内服（multicenter, double-masked, randomized, placebo-control study)。
・RBXはDMEをsight-threatening stageへの進行を抑止する効果はあった（p=0.54)。
