・超音波乳化吸引、眼内レンズ移植を受けた124眼を術前眼圧によって５群に分けた。
・術前、術後１年目、最終検査（4.5±2.4年：1－10年）の３回。
・最終眼圧下降量は、術前眼圧が29から23の群：8.4±4.3(34%低下)、22から20群：4.6±2.5(22%)、19から18群：3.3±2.6(18%)、17から15群：1.1±2.3(7%)、14から5群：＋1.9±3.6(16%)、全体では2.4±4.3(15%)であった。
・眼圧下降量は術前眼圧に相関していた。
・1年後の眼圧下降はどの年齢層でも10年間持続していた。
・加齢による水晶体が眼圧上昇の主原因で、白内障手術は眼圧上昇を抑制しうる
